Yet another leak is here to ruin Samsung's grand Galaxy S22 series putative February reveal. Prolific leaker @SnoopyTech has got word about how much the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra would cost. It is, however, to be taken with a grain of salt, for reasons mentioned later in the post. We also have to bear in mind that these prices are tentative and could vary according to region, carrier, and local taxes, among other things.
The vanilla Galaxy S22 will cost €912 and €963 for the 128GB and 256GB storage variants, respectively. Similarly, the Galaxy S22+ could set you back by €1,190 and €1,170 for the 128GB and 256GB models. That figure seems somewhat odd, and could likely be an error. Both smartphones will offer 8GB of RAM.
Things get interesting with the Galaxy S22 Ultra's alleged prices. It seems that the entry-level variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs €1,450. Upgrading the storage to 512GB (with the same amount of RAM) will set you back by €1,544. As mentioned earlier, this information is at odds with yesterday's leak, which said that the Galaxy S22 Ultra would be available with 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM.
A leak from quite some time ago predicted that the Galaxy S22 series would be priced on par with the Galaxy S21. However, the Galaxy S21 Ultra's price tag could easily breach the $1,500 barrier, especially for the 1TB storage variant. Then again, the base Galaxy S22 could offer more value than the Galaxy S21 FE, which, at this point, seems dead on arrival.
