The Galaxy S21+, meanwhile, is set to go on sale at 1.2 million won, or roughly $1,099. On the other end of the spectrum, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will be available to Korean consumers for the equivalent of $1,299 or $1,399, depending on whether they opt for the 256GB or 512GB model, the report states.
The Galaxy S21 range will most likely retail at a near-identical level in other parts of the world. I.e., minor pricing variance across various markets should primarily stem from differences in taxing regulations, much like is usually the case.
All three devices will offer support for the fifth generation of mobile networks, as per the same source. Meaning the regular Galaxy S21 is also on its way to becoming Samsung's first 5G flagship that debuted at under $900. Likewise, this is going to make it the first full-featured Galaxy flagship in the sub-$900 segment since the Galaxy S10e which launched two years ago.
Naturally, whether this oscillating pricing structure pays off for Samsung is what remains to be seen. But coupled with the earlier-than-usual launch window, it's quite clear that Samsung is doing everything it can to start 2021 on a high note.
