Samsung is bringing its latest two Galaxy M smartphones to Russia. The Galaxy M22 and the Galaxy M52 5G have been officially announced in the country, and both phones are now available at Samsung's online store. The phones will be picked up by partner retailers as well.

The Galaxy M52 5G is launching in Russia for the recommended retail price of 34,990 rubles ($486), whereas the Galaxy M22 has a price tag of 18,990 rubles ($264). Each smartphone model is available in two color options: black and white.

    Galaxy M52 5G overview

One of the best Galaxy M52 5G features is the 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display boasting a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Another is the Snapdragon 778G chipset, which should guarantee smooth performance in most applications, even demanding mobile games.

The phone has three rear-facing cameras and a 32MP selfie sensor, and despite the fact that it's an M-branded phone, it takes advantage of Android 11 and the full-featured version of One UI 3.1. Check our review linked below for more details.

    Galaxy M22 overview

Samsung customers in Russia who might be looking to buy a new M-branded cost-effective phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack should avoid the Galaxy M52 5G because the phone doesn't have this feature. On the other hand, the Galaxy M22 does, and it's available for a lower price.

That's because the Galaxy M22 lacks in other areas, though regardless, it's still a solid low-cost phone. Although the landing page in Russia has omitted this important detail, the Galaxy M22 is one of Samsung's cheapest smartphones to feature a high refresh rate display. It's capable of 90Hz, which is not quite as good as 120Hz, but it still provides much smoother animations compared to the standard 60Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy M22 features the Mediatek Helio G80 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac dual-band (2.4+5GHz). It sports four rear-facing cameras and an LED flash.
