So how many of you were looking forward to Samsung’s Galaxy Gear smartwatch but were disappointed by yesterday’s leaked pictures. If we believe GigaOM’s latest report, the leaked design won’t be the final Galaxy Gear that will be announced later this week. According to the website, we can expect a “different, more finished product” that will be more stylish than the prototype.

The site also adds more information like the smartwatch will run the latest Android 4.3 update but will not feature any built-in web browser. Galaxy Gear will support Bluetooth LE that will give way to make it work with other non-Samsung devices but will require a Samsung device to install apps from the watch-specific store.

The rumored specs include a 2.5-inch OLED display (leaked prototype had 3-inch), 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos 4212 processor, built-in camera, speakers and mic, NFC and battery life of up to 24 hours on moderate usage or around 10 hours with active usage.

Check out the leaked pictures of the prototype below.
