Tons of unofficial bits of information regarding the unannounced Galaxy M51 have dropped over the past few months and we can now finally offer you a comprehensive list of specs that will define Samsung's upcoming mid-range budget phone with a monster battery. We have a lot to discuss so let's get right into it.

The Galaxy M51 shapes up to be a surprising device for more than one reason. It turns out that the recent rumors pertaining to a 7,000mAh monster battery are as accurate as rumors can get. A 7,000mAh battery on a Galaxy phone is unprecedented but the Galaxy M51 will indeed break the mold.

Galaxy A71-grade chipset, display, and memory

We expect the Galaxy M51 to punch above its weight and adopt a lot of specs from a device that should technically be higher up the food chain, namely the Galaxy A71. Samsung's more budget-oriented Galaxy M51 will have an Infinity-O 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 2400 by 1080, just like the Galaxy A71 has.

More so, the Galaxy M51 is almost guaranteed to be powered by the same Snapdragon 730 chipset from Qualcomm. The silicon is paired with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage expandable by up to 512GB via microSD.

A very familiar quad camera system

The Galaxy M51 will carry four rear-facing cameras including a 64MP wide shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and 0.8-micron pixels; a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2. aperture and 1.12um pixels; and 5MP depth and macro sensors, each of which has an f/2.4 aperture and 1.12um pixels. The system supports Hyperlapse and Pro Mode.

Same as the Galaxy A71, the Galaxy M51 carries a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, so in theory it should be capable of HDR and 1080p@30fps video recording.

Galaxy M51: Every other spec you can think of

We can confirm that the Galaxy M51 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of an in-display one, but we don't think that many people will mind this given how fast and accurate these sensors usually are when compared to Samsung's in-display solutions.

The phone also features a USB-C port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2.4+5GHz, VHT80, FM Stereo functionality, and a single speaker. Once again, all these components are powered by a monster 7,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging and a full recharge time of around 2 hours.

The hardware is wrapped in a body measuring 163.9 x 76.3 x 9.5mm and weighing 213 grams. The phone will run Android 10 out-of-the-box but this is no surprise. The exact version of One UI is unknown but it should be One UI 2.1 at the least, or version 2.5 at most.

The only details that remain unknown pertain to the Galaxy M51's launch date and prices, but stay tuned and we'll keep you up to speed as soon as we find out more.
