EXCLUSIVE: Samsung to introduce the A series soon with design similar to Galaxy Alpha

The Galaxy Alpha has been one of the most important devices to come out of Samsung’s stable recently, mainly due its metallic design and powerful specs inside a not-so-large body. Thanks to our insiders, SamMobile has learned that the Galaxy Alpha is actually the first device in Samsung’s upcoming A series of smartphones that the company is planning to announce in the coming weeks. Three devices will be part of the initial launch, carrying model numbers SM-A300, SM-A500, and SM-A700, and will cover various price points. The SM-A300 will come with a qHD (960×540) display, while the other two will come with HD displays.

The SM-A500 is already listed on Samsung’s mobile site, confirming the HD resolution and the fact that it will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. The design of the three phones will be similar to the Galaxy Alpha, which means they will all have some form of metal in their construction. Also, the A series will feature better front cameras than existing devices – we’re guessing these will have a higher resolution than normal front cameras, like the 3.7-megapixel camera that will debut on the Galaxy Note 4.

All in all, the A series is looking like the reboot we have all been hoping would be coming to Samsung devices, with better specs for the price and a more premium design. Our sources say that the launch of these devices should happen sometime in Q3 this year, though it’s unclear if an announcement will come at IFA next month (it likely won’t, considering the Galaxy Note 4 will take all the limelight at IFA.)

So all of this makes the Galaxy Note the only good one. Come on, youre paying a lot of money, better getting the highest end than a “high-end” S, or mid-range or even low-range. Why? Because they forget about them very fast, my S Advance ONLY HAD an update to Jellybean, and it died there, thanks to samsung. Note 2 running kitkat, which for sure is its last update, getting Samsung? Focus on note if your pocket lets you, if not search for a nexus, motorola, etc.

Samsung Galaxy A? Samsung Galaxy A ‘mini’? Galaxy ‘As’? Galaxy A2? Galaxy A ‘ACTIV’?

Wonder if this ‘A’ line may replace the ‘S’ line?

In order to success, samsung ALPHA must have: Better battery, full aluminion on the back, 8 megapixels front camera for selfies and 1080 HD resolution with SDCARD external. If samsung release that version of Samsung Alpha it will be TOP SELLER worldwide.

Well, we have the A 500

and A700 Series reported
so you and I may get our wish. If the A 500 or the A700 is a thicker device , we can have bigger battery, HD, the even faster 20 nanometer Samsung CPU, and the Camera Sensor from Note 4
with OIS and an SD Card.

The Ultimate Pocket Rocket at 4.7″ screen 5.2″ Device.

And the large phone fans will have S6 and,Note 4.

If Samsung does what you say and 9 mm thick for bigger Battery and SD Card , as pretty as Alpha it will be huge worldwide, I agree.

I am hoping for an Alpha
Pro in a thicker Device to enable a larger Battery, SD Card, Larger
Camera Sensor, bigger Speaker, and a few features from Note 4.

Only a few millimeters thicker, and Samsung can easily include these for
people who need full Power in a pocket sized Device.

The Metal resists twisting, flex and it’s less likely to break the
Glass on these Metal Framed Phones.

I hope they continue and remember to have a few Devices which are 10 mm thick and a few ounces
heavier with more Power for Business!

And 4.7″ is perfect for Compact IMO.

So I am in favor of Metal and more Power, a little thicker-we don’t need credit card thin Phones with 27 second Battery life, lol.

Some of us can replace a Laptop with a powerful Android, so a Compact Powerhouse will sell IMO.

And Alpha will be popular
I think.

No expandable memory??? No water resistance? Sad battery?? This thing is a PILE… not worth having honestly. Not sure what Samsung is thinking but I wouldn’t buy this …not even for a penny…. I’ll stick with the Galaxy S series thank you very little Samsung!
