    Samsung opens flagship store in Gangnam, South Korea to target Gen Z consumers

    Last week, it was reported that Samsung is planning to open its flagship retail store in Gangnam, South Korea. Today, the company has opened Samsung Store in Gangnam, and it is the company's biggest store. The store was opened for Samsung fans, and general consumers can start visiting the store starting tomorrow.

    This store launch comes right after Apple opened its first store in South Korea in the same Gangnam district.

    Samsung Store in Gangnam is spread across six floors and offers the entire Samsung product lineup

    Samsung Store in Gangnam is located in the central commercial district of Gangnam-daero in Seoul. It spans 2,000 sq. mtrs. across six floors (from B1 to 5th floor). It has various spaces and zones that are designed with Gen Z (born in the mid-1990s to early 2000s) and Millenials (born in the early 1980s to early 1990s) consumers in mind. The company is aiming to communicate its innovation stories with consumers through a community model. Apart from products, consumers can also experience various collaboration events and after-sales services.

    Consumers can freely experience Samsung products, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, TVs, home appliances, laptops, and monitors, at Samsung Store in Gangnam. Consumers can simply scan a QR code at the store entry to explore floor guides and ongoing events. On the second floor, consumers can explore features and compare specifications of products that aren't on display through product videos. This floor also houses phones, tablets, wearables, laptops, monitors, and other IT products.

    On the third floor, there is a Bespoke Home Meta zone where consumers can experience TVs and VR (Virtual Reality) devices. People can select, view, and arrange their favorite products in various colors in 3D view using a VR headset. There are hug bears in the store that are made using recycled materials, showcasing how Samsung cares for the environment. On this floor, there is a Coffee Center where consumers can capture images of their coffee using a Samsung smartphone.

    The circular staircase uses stained glass, and people can capture beautiful images there. Even at night, consumers can use the Nightography features in Samsung phones to capture great photos. During the three days after the store opening, Samsung is conducting various lectures about products, self-development, and collaborative events. SLBS studio, an accessory maker, has a zone inside the Samsung Store in Gangnam, and consumers can create custom accessories for their Samsung products.

    The fourth floor of the Samsung Store in Gangnam has a giant The Wall TV, which has crisp content showcasing skyscrapers of Gangnam-daero in 8K resolution. On this floor, Samsung is planning to hold events in collaboration with gaming companies, including Genshin Impact and Nexon.

    Limited-time offers in Samsung Store in Gangnam

    During the first week of the Samsung Store launch in Gangnam, Samsung is offering various benefits. Consumers can buy the Galaxy S23 Ultra in limited-edition models, including Genshin Impact Accessories Package, Pokemon Fairy Edition, and Fast and Furious Edition. These packages will be sold in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Those who buy the Galaxy S23 Ultra 1TB version will get a limited-edition Galaxy Watch 5 44mm Bluetooth. For the first time, Samsung will sell the Galaxy S23 Ultra 1TB model in four colors that were earlier launched as online-exclusive variants.
