Leaked video shows the Galaxy Note 7 in action

By now you have already seen several leaked renders of the Galaxy Note 7, including the absolutely gorgeous one in Blue Coral that we reported on earlier today, but now you can get your first glimpse of the Galaxy Note 7 in action. A leaked video has been posted online which shows the Galaxy Note 7 in action during testing for Olixar, an accessory maker for mobile devices.

The video shows off the Galaxy Note 7 in all its glory. The dual-edge display of this handset wraps around the edges very nicely and gives it a unique feel, unlike any previous Galaxy Note handset. The video was recorded when the handset was being tested for Olixar’s Curved Glass Screen Protector. From the looks of it the protector works very well with this dual-edge curved display. Samsung is due to unveil the Galaxy Note 7 on August 2 and it’s believed that it might release the handset on the very same day. The company will only confirm official pricing and availability information for its new flagship handset at the media event.

The one time I finally decide I would like a white Samsung Galaxy Note 7 they don’t have it in White. Sheesh

Lol! But I’m still not convinced those colours are correct. For example, Gold isn’t mentioned either but yet mobilefun is selling gold coloured cases, so why would they do that if there was no gold phone? Maybe you will get your white one!

Yes, why do people keep doing that? 🙂

@jamezr -No way, it’s laggy? That fade you see in the page transition is a setting in developer options. You can adjust graphical exchange times to give a fading or slowed appearance as you flip from page to page. It’s meant to improve the UI. The specs on the device are impressive, I own the Note 5, GS7 Edge, GS5, and many others, all Samsung makes is quality as far as flagships are concerned. This device will undoubtedly be like driving a fine automobile. Smooth, powerful, we’ll equipped and over engineered. That’s the good stuff Sammy has come to be… Read more »

I think you replied to the wrong poster. I never said it was laggy….quite the opposite. The new UX has been leaked on other videos and it is very nice and smooth. The Note 7 will be a beast!

I want to see how it compares to my Note 5 and S7 edge and OPO3.

Looked to me like a video to demonstrate that whilst you can avoid glare on the flat part of the screen by slightly adjusting the angle the glare from the curved part is unavoidable.

Usually new phones are polished, so the glare is from the lighting and glass Polish from the factory, I would guess.

Why do all these leak videos look like they are made with a crappy 240p camera? Surely they have access to better cameras? Often it’s because their fake. That’s probably an S7 Edge. Lol!

I rarely see a phone without a case. The edge screen is jus beautiful! And useful! I can’t go back to a flat screen from my S6 edge+

Can’t wait for this to drop. Great upgrade over a Note 5. Better camera….base model with 64GB storage and SD Card…..better faster touchwiz UX. Faster internals waterproofing….great upgrade over my Note 5.

Better hope it doesn’t drop! Not with a stupid fragile bent screen.

Note Edge screen wasn’t fragile. Where are all of you anti edge screen weirdos coming from? Everyone keeps talking about how bad an edge screen would be for a Note but they seem to have forgotten about the Note Edge.

Is it me, or did the phone seemed laggy in the video?

eHoolie

Agreed. But it could be a unfinished/un-optimized UI. Or a sample of some sort.

The handset was being tested for Olixar’s Curved Glass Screen Protector. Also, as EHOOLIE said, it could be a unfinished/un-optimized UI.

that’s slow-motioned. where can you see lags

Like I said before , I-m failing at understanding something really simple here. If you have a note 4 or 5 or something like it , why pay 800$ for this ? Whats the upgrade ? Where exactly is the benefit of forking over 800$ ? Can this be rooted properly with no hassles or is it just another iphone wannabe ? If i root will i get deep sleep issues or wireless problems ? Am i gonna burn some magically fuse that i can never reset like the previous models ? 800$ for updated hardware i can never use… Read more »

Oh wow you should compare the specs on both phones. There are huge differences. Yes it’s not cheap but with the amount of hardware upgrades in the Note 7, as long as Sammy keeps the software upgrades coming this device should beautifully handle all your needs for quite some time to come.

Wait until Samsung actually announces the features. If you have to think about why you would upgrade to something, it typically means you shouldn’t. We don’t know what the benefit is or may be, yet. As for bootloader unlocking, you’re barking up the wrong tree with Samsung, and you have been since two or three phone generations ago–locked down phones is nothing new with Samsung. Move on. You’ll be happier in the end.

lots of very good devices on the market at the moment , i would love to get a third note , i skipped the note 5 because i just did not like the way samsung stripped it down compared to previous models .
It will have to be something special for me to upgrade, and not just another S6 with a stylus .

I need to see the S Pen in action. Not only for drawing but also for writing. Especially the handwriting recognition for writing, like a lot. Not just one or two words.

Its what i was waiting for, the shitty crap like s7 edge., we cant hold the phone like a normal phone , and this with 5.7 inch it will be worse, wait and see.
You want to take a picture with one hand is impossible.
We gonna see many note 7 with the cracked screen.

michael doidge
michael doidge

i believe you can turn the edge feature off in other edge variants , so if that is correct with the note 7 it should not be such a bother , i think you can even assign areas of the edge to be not sensitive to touch , i read that somewhere , if someone knows for sure , by all means give us the good oil 😉 .

Animations look very iphone like. But i aint complaining

So the difference between two kinds of leaked images was because of this screen protector and some of those leaked images that were tipped to be the front panel were actually screen protectors.
Now I’m all ready and willing to watch the official unveiling.
CAN’T WAIT…

Their little finger is super close to accidentally touching that curved display.
