Samsung official says the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge are selling well

Is Samsung’s business really imploding? If we go by the sales of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, then that might not be the case. An unnamed Samsung executive has told The Korea Times that the two Galaxy S6 flagships are selling well and that the sales are meeting the company’s internal target. According to the official, 305,000 units of both devices are being sold every day since they went up for sale, more than 124,000 and 241,000 units of the Galaxy S5 and S4 respectively.

Samsung is yet to officially reveal how much the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge units it has sold, but is expected to do so next month. A report last month had said that shipments of the Galaxy S6 lineup had reached 10 million units, but didn’t offer concrete information on exactly when that shipment figure had been reached. Samsung has always been pretty quick at announcing when its flagships reach a particular sales milestone, but its silence on the matter regarding the S6 and S6 edge suggest things might not be going that fast, though that could possibly be because the company is selling two different flagship smartphones at the same time and wants to individually confirm sales figures for each.

I don’t understand why butthurt apple fan would come here and rant how apple is better. I’d understand if this was a general forum but to comment here… Smh.
Anyways I have both iPhone 6 and galaxy s6 edge and I can tell you that iOS is very buggy. It sometimes drives me nuts.
Also I agree with another fellow here that apple purposely kills old devices with forcing os updates to sell new devices.

It’s very good.

PS: another thing samsung should do is focus on their own OS. Android is obviously flawed. You need twice as many cores and 2-3 times as much RAM and it is still more laggy and slow than the iphone. Why doesnt samsung focus on this problem not heart rate sensors and the 500 varieties of watches? Also how can someone say they have samsung because they dont like apple when now the samsung phones looks almost exactly the same as the iphone 4 with the edges of the iphone 6? Actually as a fun fact i was an apple hater… Read more »

Is this a joke? It is well known that Apple devices lag more than Android devices, and only the most diehard Apple fanatics like you say otherwise.
My iPad 3 with iOS v 8.3 lags everywhere. Lags when opening apps. Lags when typing. Lags when going back to homescreen. Lags when scrolling an interface when more than 2 pictures.

More frustrating is that you can’t come back to old version and cannot even install popular apps thanks to the infamous system requirement if you stick to old version os.
So you must buy new apple devices or give up your investment for apps.
I was apple user for a long time. Ipod nano, Ipod classic, Ipod touch, Ipad1,2,3, and Iphone 2, 4, 4s
But I completely ditch them for that insanity and enter the galaxy world even if I don’t like Google at all.

I have been arguing for a long time that Apple pushes stealth malware updates to its users. They are one of the many companies guilty of planned obsolescence.

Apple users are as dumb as cattle and as blind as bats. Even when the lagging and stuttering is so obvious on Apple devices, they will deny they saw any frame drops. How anyone can be so much in denial shocks me.

I agree 100% with that article. What samsung did: -copy the design of the iphone (4s especially) almost exactly especially the bottom of the phone – copy fingerprint sensor but a bad version of it on the s5 – put 9000 cores and 18666 gb of ram to make a phone thats horribly laggy and buggy thanks to touchwizz – the UI seems like it was desgned by a 5 year old child especially those horrible contacts etc icons – the colour schemes are just atrocious especially that frog like green – the rest of the interface is very complicated… Read more »

For me, just waiting for the price to drop by 10%, it is currently out of my budget. 🙂 But definitely will buy S6 Edge to replace my 2 year old S4.

That means towards 60 million for this quarter just for the top S phones, not counting S Mini’s, Note versions, or medium to higher medium level phones such as the whole A series.

Implosion of analyst’s theories.

I would’ve bought an S6 on launch day…

But you can only get the 32GB phone in South Africa, and that’s not going to do it for me…

Do NOT forget lots of people are waiting for Green(Edge)and Blue(Flat) and some others here in my country are waiting for bigger storage.
