Samsung customer care in Germany is providing Android Lollipop to the Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505)

This year, Samsung appears to be in full swing when it comes to software updates. It has already rolled out Android Lollipop updates to a number of devices; the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-i9500) has already received the update in a few regions (including India), but the update is yet to be rolled out to the Snapdragon variant (GT-i9505). However, it seems that could change in the near future as Samsung Germany is updating Galaxy S4's coming in for service to Android Lollipop.

One of the Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) users in Germany had to send their device to the customer support in Otto due to a fault in the screen, and when it came back, the device had Android 5.0.1 Lollipop installed on it. This means that the customer support officials in Germany already have the update file, and they are flashing it on the devices which are coming in for repairs. The over-the-air rollout will probably commence very soon, and whenever it does, you can be sure we will let you know.

Samsung will pay $10 to Galaxy S4 owners for manipulating benchmark scores

They did this by including code that temporarily increased the speed of the chipset when a benchmark app was running. Samsung’s Galaxy S4 was one of the devices to have allegedly engaged in such behavior. Unsurprisingly, a lawsuit was […]
