Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom launching in Singapore on September 5

Samsung’s fat little camera-cum-smartphone variant of its flagship device, the Galaxy S4 Zoom, will be extending its shooting capabilities to another country soon – it will be launching in Singapore on September 5th, at a price of S$795 (US$638.76). However, with the Galaxy Note III set to be unveiled a day before at IFA, the launch of the S4 Zoom might go completely unnoticed in the country.

Circling back to the S4 Zoom, the device sports a 16-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom, and also comes with a 4.3″ qHD (540 x 960) display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 graphics, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable via microSD slot, and a 2,330 mAh battery.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with lots of camera modes and features, features a full suite of connectivity including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSPA+ and NFC, and can also make phone calls (something the Galaxy Camera wasn’t capable of).
