Poll

[Poll Results!] Are you going to buy the Galaxy Fold?

Yes, it’s time for that same question again, one that we had initially asked you in April this year. The Galaxy Fold was then delayed due to some issues but it has now risen like a phoenix from the ashes.

Samsung is finally making the device available for purchase. It’s out already in South Korea and will be released in countries across Europe on September 18. The Galaxy Fold will also go on sale in the United States before the end of this month.

The company has made significant changes to improve the device’s durability. It is confident that they will address the issues that caused the delay. We have been impressed with what Samsung has done so far and see no reason to believe that the Fold might falter again.

So the question is, are you going to buy the Galaxy Fold? Do you feel confident enough in the product or do you still have any concerns? Vote below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Results: Our readers don’t seem to be very enthused with the changes Samsung has made to the Galaxy Fold, as the majority of voters in this poll (39 percent) said they are still not confident in the device. 17 percent voters said they are happy with the changes and would be buying the Galaxy Fold, while 34 percent believe they’ll get one once it gets discounted. 11 percent said they will wait a couple of months to be sure, which is perhaps the best route to take – allow others to test the device and see if the durability upgrades hold up in the long run.

Add a SD Card slot and S-Pen, only then will I consider it. Okay, the S-Pen is not a must have, but the SD Card slot is a must have.

I would rather wait for future iterations. When they have perfected the folding display technology.

I had a play with one yesterday in the Cardiff Samsung store. They have sold out including the 2 more deliveries they are getting today and tomorrow. After that they ain’t getting anymore.

It’s a great device and now wished I waited instead of getting the S10+

Not a chance in hell near 2000 USD when a fingernail can destroy the display. IF you have money to burn maybe.

Nope nope nope. 2000EUR for a 1st gen device, with a plastic screen? Why? because it folds? :)) It has nothing else, does nothing better than a S10+ or a Note 10+.

I never buy first or second generation innovative products until it’s the technology is matured. I rather wait in the meanwhile samsung would continue to try new ideas & technology & design till they settle on a confirmed idea on how to do it for the future. the screen tech needs to be matured enough for me to part with my money so at the moment no !

I wasn’t going to buy it before… And I’m still not going to buy it. For one (well, two) very simple reason: I don’t buy phones without expandable storage and a headphone jack. Period.

That means two years from now you won’t buy phones anymore because those two features will be extinct.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. What’s he going to do when both are completely gone?

Humans lived millions of years on this planet without phones. One has to wonder how they managed.

Je viens de m’offrir le note 10+ et je suis très satisfait. Je me tournerai vers le Fold quand il sera moins cher et aura un stylet!!!

For non-French users:
“I just bought the Note 10+ and I am very satisfied. I will switch to Fold when it will be cheaper and will have a stylus!”
Please use the English language in the future comments.

Very good point @pateve. I agree that an SPen with a future fold could be great. Use your language as you wish. We have Google and Samsung translation available. And with the Note10 + it’s just an sPen tap away. Guys we have the technology, use it! The language doesn’t matter. Btw, the recognised international languages for use in Europe is English AND French. Très bon point @pateve. Je conviens qu’un SPEN avec un futur pli pourrait être génial. Utilisez votre langue comme vous le souhaitez. Nous avons la traduction de Google et Samsung disponible. Et avec le Note10 +,… Read more »
