[Poll] Will you buy the Galaxy Fold now that it’s almost here?

Samsung fans have had almost two months to decide whether or not they want to purchase the Galaxy Fold. The handset was unveiled on February 20 this year. Samsung confirmed that it would be available for purchase starting April 26 for $1,980.

The company has since started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Fold in the United States. The initial demand appears to meet Samsung’s expectations. It will release the handset there on April 26. The Galaxy Fold is then expected to arrive in South Korea by mid-May. Samsung will be releasing the device in other markets across the globe as well down the line.

With the moment of truth finally upon us, the question is, will you be buying the Galaxy Fold? Vote below and share your reasons with us in the comments section. Personally, I can’t wait to get one. This is the most excited many of us have been for a new Samsung device in years.

If $1000 phones are a tough sell, let alone the double, especially a technology that needs a lot of maturing before it makes sense and the state of current folding phones out there are far from being “good enough”. You can see that there’s a lot of stuff that need to be ironed out.

Sammobile premium is cheap compared to fold. And it seems like you can’t afford premium membership.

So USA first and then Samsung home country ? What a strange strategy.

Noup. Uglley nocth, to fat, to small front screen. No point in buying 7inc foldable phone if i can get 6.something inch phones in a relatively small body for half price.

I wouldn’t buy a first iteration. It would be useful for our business and could replace our Note devices, only if it has an sPen and the screen will be perfectly flat when opened. It would need to be scratch resistant also as mech construction sites aren’t particle free, or at least have a good screen protector which might be difficult on a foldable screen.

3rd or 4th gen is definitely the safest way. 👍
