This Galaxy Fold concept may one day become real

We are still more than a month away before the Galaxy Fold hits the market, but concept creators are already envisaging how a future Galaxy Fold model might look like. A cool new concept video of a Galaxy Fold 2 has been published on the Concept Creator YouTube channel, and it fixes many of the complaints we have heard about the first-generation device.

One of the biggest criticisms about the Galaxy Fold is that the cover display is too small by today’s smartphone standards to be useful. Many have also expressed their dislike for the big notch on the main display. Fans also believe the inclusion of an S Pen will be a logical thing to do on a form factor like this.

In the concept video, we can see a Galaxy Fold 2 which fixes all these complaints. Both the cover display and the main display are edge-to-edge with a punch hole for cameras, similar to the Galaxy S10. The creator also includes an S Pen, which Samsung might very well do in the future. In fact, replacing the Galaxy Note lineup with the Galaxy Fold makes a lot of sense since large-screen Galaxy S models have taken away much of the appeal of the Note lineup.

The device shown in the video may not be technologically feasible today, but there is no denying that this will one day become real. Everything shown here is essentially a culmination of all the technologies and designs Samsung has brought to the market so far. This is definitely how a future Galaxy Fold might look like, but we don’t know whether that will be a Galaxy Fold 2 or a Fold 5.

What do you think about the device shown in the video? Are you willing to spend more than $1500 to purchase a device like this? Do let us know in the comments section.

Looks so satisfying. I may keep my note 9 until this comes out.

Yes, that’s exactly what Samsung should release including a headphone Jack. Not sure about the pill shaped cutout but I guess that on a big screen is far less intrusive.
Good job!! 👍

With the sPen and that bigger front screen………that’s my dream device. We would change our eight Note9 devices and pay $2000 for those. They’d be perfect for our needs.

I know a lot of users will hate this idea /comment, but a version of the Fold, Fold 2, 3 etc is screaming for Windows 10 or Windows Next/Light etc. There is nothing stopping Samsung or other vendor from releasing a hardware device that can run and install multiple OS versions. We buy or build a PC or laptop today and we can install Windows, Linux, etc on it. It should be too difficult for MS, Samsung and others to create custom builds of their OS for a specialized device(s) built on a supported SoC. It wouldn’t be easy, but… Read more »

They could do but there’s no need anymore. We have all the fully functional office apps on our Note9 devices and we even use AutoCad and our own in-house designed engineering apps, plus they work seamlessly with our Windows machines, and have the added advantage of Dex. I definitely see where you’re coming from but we have passed the point where Windows is necessary on a phone.

Well I will dub it as the Galaxy Fold X due to the S-pen feature added.

Is just impossible to make a foldable that folds in both directions? I don’t like the two screen approach.
