After releasing the Android 4.4 kernel source code for the Galaxy Note 3 last week, Samsung is doing the same for its latest batch of tablets. Android 4.4 KitKat kernel source for the Wi-Fi and LTE versions of the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has been released on Samsung’s Open Source Release Center. The download size for the Wi-Fi version (SM-T520) and LTE variant (SM-T525) is at 1.4 GB. In addition to the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, kernel source for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 has also been released. The source for the 3G variant (SM-P901) and the LTE-enabled version (SM-P905) is now available, with the download size at 1.4 GB.

The kernel source allows developers to hack device functionality and build custom ROMs. After launching these tablets in the U.K. and U.S. recently, Samsung is set to make the Tab Pro and Note Pro series available in more countries soon.
