HOT: Samsung prepares fingerprint protection

Apple isn’t the only OEM which is testing fingerprint protection. Today SamMobile received a tip mail regarding Samsung’s finger print tracking system. Inside the leaked firmware of the Galaxy S3 Samsung forgot to remove some tested application files. Our tipper ripped out the Galaxy S3 firmware and found this information within the SecSettings.apk. SecSettings\res\drawable-hdpi. Inside the map there was a lot of images. We think Samsung will bring future smartphones with finger print protection on the home button as one of the pictures shows off. View images below and let us know what you think!

Special thanks to the well known themer Kalagas.

Apple ans samsung both are late i’ve already used this feature of fingerprint security two years ago in my MOTOROLA ATRIX ( a biometric scanner was given at the back side on power/unlock key)…i miss this feature in my galaxy NOTE II

After I heard that we’ll be getting the same GS3, GS4 design for Note III I am just no longer interested and the HTC One is looking like a better and better option.

So following along with the line of milking S3 design, I am quite sure that note III will not have any ground breaking features.

Probably they testing some things and they forgot the icons as you said…
Nice move although if it’s coming in near future… Maybe they are testing it on Note III…
I can’t imagine that fingerprints will be first introduced in other device than their 2 flagships (Note series / Galaxy S series)…
So let’s wait and see what Sammy is preparing…

Just imagine that Fujitsu made it at least 4 years ago – model F-01A. Neither Apple nor Samsung will be the first.
Almost every their phone for the last 4 years is waterproof and has a fingerprint scanner.
