Here’s how Samsung will help you pick the perfect Galaxy Ring size

It's no secret that Samsung is preparing to launch its first smart ring. The company briefly revealed the Galaxy Ring behind glass at Mobile World Congress earlier this year and should formally launch the wearable in July at Galaxy Unpacked. A new leak reveals how Samsung will help prospective buyers choose the right Ring size.

Unlike Galaxy Watches, the Galaxy Ring won't be adjustable. Samsung will sell multiple sizes, but the issue is that not everyone knows their ring size. We were hoping Samsung would come up with a way for Galaxy Ring buyers to pick the right one, and indeed, the tech giant has a plan.

According to a leaked screenshot (via @evleaks Substack), the Galaxy Ring delivery process will differ for buyers who don't know their ring sizes.

If you don't know your ring size, Samsung will first ship you a Sizing Kit upon ordering the Galaxy Ring and choosing the “I don't know my size” option.

Samsung will then send you sample rings to help you find the best size for your preferred finger, after which you will be able to proceed and confirm your order. The Galaxy Ring will then be delivered in the preferred size.

How many Galaxy Ring sizes will there be?

When Samsung teased the Galaxy Ring at MWC, the company said things were subject to change. However, if the MWC demonstration is anything to go by, Samsung will offer the smart ring in nine sizes — 5 through 13 on the US standard.

The non-functional prototypes unveiled at MWC in February came in three color options, i.e., Ceramic Black, Platinum Silver, and Gold. Those names reflected the colors rather than the materials. The prototype had a plastic shell, and Samsung hasn't confirmed if the final product will be made from plastic, metal, or other, more exotic materials.

    Story continues after the video…

As far as its capabilities go, the Galaxy Ring should be able to track the wearer's skin temperature, blood oxygen, fitness activity, respiratory and heart rate, night movement, sleep latency, and more.

Pricing details are also unknown, but another recent rumor suggests that the wearable might cost around $300-$350 in the USA. Similar rumors also claim that Samsung may have created a subscription-based service for the Ring. We'll have to wait and see if this is true, and if it is, what special features Samsung could offer through a Health subscription plan to make it worth the cost.
