How to block ads on Samsung Galaxy smartphones running Nougat

If you’ve been irked by them, there is a way you can block ads on Samsung Galaxy smartphones running Nougat. You may not even remember that you checked this option during your phone’s setup process. That’s because most users just fly through the setup process without really paying attention.

When you agree to all of the terms while setting up your phone, you actually agree to receive these ads twice. Step 1: Launch the Settings app and tap on General Management.

Step 3: Uncheck “I agree to receive marketing information.”

That’s it! That’s all you need to do to block ads on Samsung Galaxy smartphones powered by Android 7.0 Nougat.

Can’t see “Marketing information” in my s8.

I thought that I would see a mention of disconnect pro and adblock plus for samsung internet being mentioned. That is how you actually block ads. Both apps available from the galaxy apps store. 2 years ago or so disconnect pro was free. Hope they do that again

Guys i recommend that you use adhell for blocking ads because it uses the knox module of samsung. plus it can be installed without root

My new Note 8 from Verizon does not have “Marketing Information” item on that tab (or any other tab that I can find). I wonder who removed it – he said sarcastically.

I didn’t disable it as last year I did a survey and got a free 11300mah charging brick from Samsung Turkey! It is very rarely that you get ads or promotions from Samsung anyway, and they do give away free stuff, a mate of mine in New Zealand got free Level U Earphones again for completing a survey.
