Samsung Galaxy device users should now have access to Microsoft SwiftKey's latest Bing AI feature. The SwiftKey team announced that the Bing AI update is now rolling out to Samsung users.

SwiftKey fans eager to try the new Bing AI feature should look for version 9.10.11.10. It's rolling out gradually, and @SwiftKey says Bing AI should be available to everyone “in the next days.”

This Bing AI update started rolling out for iOS and Android in mid-April. However, it is now being added to the built-in SwiftKey keyboard in Samsung's One UI. In other words, Samsung Galaxy devices now have access to the powerful Bing AI tool.

As a matter of fact, Galaxy device users can ignore Bing AI if they choose to do so, much like they can ignore SwiftKey altogether and use Samsung Keyboard. But because SwiftKey is embedded into One UI, you could say that Bing AI is now installed on virtually every Galaxy device with no option for it to be removed.

Three ways through which SwiftKey users can interact with Bing AI

When Microsoft first announced Bing AI for SwiftKey last month, it explained that the AI integrates with the digital keyboard app in three major ways, through Search, Chat, and Tone.

  • Search: Using the Bing AI Search feature, users can quickly search the web without switching apps.
  • Chat: Through the Chat feature, users can access Bing for more detailed queries and get chat suggestions.
  • Tone: With the Tone feature, SwiftKey users can communicate more effectively by using Bing AI to customize their in-progress text to fit the situation. They can instruct Bing AI to reword text more formally and generally change the text's tone according to what the situation calls for.

In other news, recent reports said Samsung is considering replacing Google's search engine as the default option on its Galaxy devices with Bing. However, there are implications to this due to how Samsung and Google may have agreed on Android OS licenses. It may not be possible to ditch Google search without repercussions. But regardless of how that story develops, essentially, Bing AI is now available on Samsung Galaxy devices pre-loaded with SwiftKey, and Microsoft's AI beat Google's Bard to the punch.
