We also asked our other site admins. What do they think about the Galaxy SIII will they buy it?

    Hi,
To start with, the Samsung Galaxy S3 did not really meet up with my expectations. Sure, the screen is big and it has a quad-core CPU, but I'm actually really happy with my snappy Nexus, and in more need of an awesome tablet than a new phone. I mean, the screen on the SGS3 is exact the same as my Nexus except for a few half inches more. But I still can't totally let go of the thought of having a SGS3, I am a BIG gadget freak after all, and it actually have a quad-core CPU. This makes me very split over the decision about SGS3. Well, I can't decide quite yet.
    Regards,
    Johan

As I've tweeted a few days ago I'm sure that the Galaxy S3 will be a very successful device for Samsung.
Samsung is on the right track and the Galaxy S3 is just an example of it. The main reason is the combination of powerful hardware and good software. The hardware is simply unmatched and Samsung has shown some software innovations like: smart stay, smart alert, pop-up play and many more. Besides the software innovations I'm also pleased with look of the new Touchwiz nature UX. The UI has a more mature look and the sound effects are pretty cool and realistic.
I also like the design of the S3, especially the rounded corners, thin form factor and thin bezel.
I personally hoped on a button free design and that Samsung used some new materials but nevertheless I still like it.

As you might know, I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S2. While this is a pretty awesome phone, I already have it for like a year or so I am pretty used to it and it is not as new and dynamic as it was in the first few months.
While I do not really need a phone with a bigger screen size, I do like the new generation Android phones because they have quad-core processors and should be more energy-friendly.
Also, the new Ice Cream Sandwich version Samsung ships with the Galaxy S3 has some really neat features (the Voice control for example). It is also Samsungs flagship phone until date.
As I am a computer nerd, I might prefer a clean Android as in the next Google phone (which might also be made by Samsung this time), because I really love the Android 4.0 stock look.
But the new TouchWiz doesn't look that bad either.
While the Samsung Galaxy S3 might not be what all of us expected from it (the Ceramic back, the 12MP camera or 2GB RAM), it still seems to be a pretty improvement over my current phone, the SGS2.
In my opinion, it looks pretty decent with the small bezel and the big screen, and if you do want to buy a new phone right now, I would advise you to buy the SGS3 if you like it.
I haven't decided for myself yet, I might wait for the Galaxy Note 2 or the next Google Phone, but the SGS3 might be my new phone in a few weeks as well!
