Eldar Murtazin: Bada is dead

Home / News / Eldar Murtazin: Bada is dead

Painful days for bada users these days.
Not only the slow rollout of bada 2.0, but now with a very painful tweet by Eldar Murtazin for Bada users. (We know that he is not always right so please take it with a pinch of salt.)
He tells us that the Bada OS is dead.

Early this year we tweeted that Bada 3.0 really will be a big step forward.
Also this we asked Eldar if the Bada 3.0 OS is still under development, so far no response …
Until tonight, All About Samsung asked the same and he said the following:
“in progress, but….. “. So what can we conclude out of this ??
It is still in progress, but is Samsung thinking of dropping the development…
Who knows, but we of SamMobile would regret if Samsung is thinking about dropping the Bada development. The OS ran fairly smooth and worked properly.

Bada sells slightly less than the Windows phones, but is actually not promoted at all by Samsung.
Incidentally there is a chance that the Wave III will see the only one Bada to Tizen update, if Samsung decides to melt these 2 together.

We of SamMobile will keep you informed.

If iOS take 5 leap forward or more or if they do jump again the rest can forget about catching up especially when Apple patent their invention.

Eldar is dead on but I don’t really need him to emphasized on the death of BADA OS. Like human life the day BADA was born was automatically dead. Concentrate on one thing and one thing only — make Android supreme. It is already a difficult task I think, seeing that iOS still reigns!! Beat iOS and we will talk BADA, DADA, BABA, TATA or whatever is on Sam’s list.

Make Bada open source is the most important(if so,it is good news for OS transplanting).I don’t care whether Bada will live or not for I’ve know the answer.

A new OS will need a lot of amazing things in order to compete with Android/iOS (see WebOS, Bada, Windows – although this one has a brighter future than most, with the right management/marketing).
I honestly don’t think any other OS, other than Android/iOS/Windows will have any luck in today’s markets, at least in terms of smartphones.

Well we have bugs even in the official bada 2.0, they didnt even bother to fix them before launching it.. that pretty much tells us how serious they took bada 2.0.

Eldar Murtazin lost his reputation ages ago. His tweets have now the same value as they were writen by anyone else. Bada + Tizen is future and this is fact.

it would be sad if it’s true..finally got the bada 2.0 fw and now this. If Samsung is planning to melt Bada with Tizen together and the final product will be called Tizen, than the statement, that “Bada’s dead” would make sense, in a way… But if Tizen is the name for an improved Bada OS, i don’t mind – i was/am always a Bada/Tizen enthusiast but by the time a first solid phone running a stabil Tizen OS will come out i think my operator’s contract will end an i’ll get a new sammy phone with a constatly update… Read more »

Bada is very good for a lot of users. Last firmwares are very good.
There is no only android or ios users…
Bad news if it’s true… But it perhaps better like this: is samsung do not invest on Bada, it’s better to give up.

Eldar Murtazin is a fony, don’t understand why people are reading his tweets? He’s procentage rate of true rumors is very very low. I don’t care if bada os is dead or not but still who is Eldar Murtazin again?! A person who belives himself as a newsman, ya right.

Sad but probably true story. Bada users knew this a long time ago. I know it’s true since all my friends want to play Wordfeud, Draw something and chat with WhatsApp. I can only reply by saying that I hava a bada phone, which is frowned upon because nobody knows it. Having said that, Bada can in no way compete with android due to lack of speed, support and functionality. The idea of Bada was nice, but the phone-market is completely locked in.
