When Apple opened pre-orders for the Vision Pro last Friday, it also released specifications of the mixed-reality (MR) headset, which revealed some interesting things about the product. One of those things was that the Vision Pro could mirror the content that it is displaying on the internal displays to AirPlay-enabled devices, including iPhones and iPads. That was very welcoming news for buyers as it meant that they would be able to share the content that they were seeing in the MR headset with their family and friends.

In the specifications sheet that Apple released on Friday, the company stated that the Vision Pro can mirror content at 1080p resolution. Well, that’s not the case anymore. The specs page now says that the mixed-reality headset can mirror content at 720p resolution, which is half of what the brand had initially said. This could be very disappointing news for buyers as the content from the Vision Pro that they might share on large-screen devices, such as iPads and TVs, will not appear sharp enough for today’s standards.

At the moment, there's no information if Apple had stated the 1080p resolution by mistake or if the company has now changed the specification because it found some issues with that resolution. On a related note, Meta had removed the mirroring functionality over the Chromecast standard from the Quest headsets. After a strong backlash from users, the company added the feature back to the mixed-reality headset.
