    Introduction

In early 2024, One UI 6.1 became one of the biggest new One UI releases thanks to the inclusion of several AI-powered features. In the second half of the year, One UI 6.1 will be succeeded by One UI 6.1.1, a newer version of the software that will debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

    One UI 6.1.1 design

Being a minor update, One UI 6.1.1 can be expected to bring very few, if any, changes to the user interface, as Samsung already gave a design overhaul to its software with One UI 6.0 in late 2023. Not all of the changes in that overhaul were well received by fans, though it's unlikely that Samsung will do anything to address them with One UI 6.1.1.

    One UI 6.1.1 features

As of April 2024, there are no official details available on what new software features will be included in One UI 6.1.1. It is expected to bring some new features as part of the Galaxy AI experience, including video-related features. As far as non-AI features go, like previous .1.1 releases of One UI, version 6.1.1 will be focused primarily on Samsung's tablets and foldable phones.

    One UI 6.1.1 release

One UI 6.1.1 will be officially introduced by Samsung in July when it unveils the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. As a foldable-focused One UI update, One UI 6.1.1 will be released for older foldables and tablets after the Fold 6 and Flip 6 go on sale.

As an update mainly for foldables and tablets, Samsung will not bring One UI 6.1.1 to most Galaxy phones of the candybar variety. Some flagships, such as the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series, may receive its AI features, though whether or not Samsung will change the One UI version on those devices from 6.1 to 6.1.1 remains to be seen.
