The Samsung Gaming Hub was announced by the company at CES 2022. It's a game streaming discovery platform that brings together some of the most popular game streaming services. It also provides users with recommendations for new content. By accessing their favorite game streaming services through Samsung's software platform, users can play high-quality games without requiring a console or a PC.

The Samsung Gaming Hub is now available for select Samsung TVs and monitors. It supports Xbox, GeForce Now, Stadia, and Utomik streaming services. Amazon Luna will soon be supported as well. Existing controllers can be used to play the games streamed through these apps.

What is Samsung Gaming Hub

Samsung Gaming Hub is a software platform that delivers great game streaming content and game-playing experiences without requiring any additional hardware or downloads. Powered by Tizen, it's available on select smart TVs and monitors from Samsung. With the Samsung Gaming Hub, the company is bridging the gap between hardware and software to provide an optimal gaming experience.

Through the Gaming Hub, players can easily access the entire libraries of the game streaming services that they subscribe to. All they need to do is connect a controller to their TV or monitor using Bluetooth. Since all of the processing is done in the cloud, they're able to play console-quality games without requiring any additional hardware.

The Samsung Gaming Hub also provides quick launchers for connected consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Users are able to quickly launch them via the platform without having to manually switch inputs.

Game streaming services supported by Samsung Gaming Hub

Google Stadia, NVIDIA GeForce Now, Utomik, and Xbox Game Pass are the game streaming services currently supported by Samsung Gaming Hub. The company has confirmed that it will soon add support for Amazon Luna as well.

For Samsung, the availability of Xbox on the Gaming Hub is a major win. This is one of the most popular game streaming services. Users only require an Xbox Game Pass subscription to access more than 100 high-quality Xbox games.

Samsung Gaming Hub supported TVs and monitors

Samsung's entire 2022 smart TV lineup supports the Gaming Hub. This includes the 2022 Neo QLED 8K, 4K and QLED models. The 2022 Samsung Smart Monitor series also comes with the Gaming Hub.

It goes without saying that all future models of Samsung smart TVs and monitors will have support for this game discovery platform.

Controllers supported by Samsung Gaming Hub

Controllers are essential to the gaming experience and fortunately, you can use most popular controllers with the Gaming Hub. These include the Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360 (USB), Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2, and Xbox Adaptive controllers from Microsoft. The DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers from Sony. The Stadia and Luna controllers from Google and Amazon respectively are supported as well.

The NVIDIA Shield controller, MOGA XP5-X Plus and the F710, F510, and F310 controllers from Logitech are supported by Gaming Hub. Users simply need to connect them to the TV via Bluetooth to start playing their favorite games.

Samsung Gaming Hub availability

The Samsung Gaming Hub has only been made available to compatible device owners in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, and South Korea. We can expect it to be rolled out in other markets down the line.
