Samsung's newest phones are gaming beats, as showcased in these in-depth tests. The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra can play even the most graphics-intensive games like Genshin Impact at a smooth 60fps. But what if you want to play PC games on your smartphone? For that, Nvidia GeForce now has you covered if you're into 120fps gaming.

Nvidia GeForce Now gets 1440p 120fps gaming to Android smartphones

Nvidia GeForce Now gets free access to PC Game Pass, Xbox account syncing, and new games

Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud game streaming service has received a new GFN Thursday update, bringing support for gaming at 1440p (QHD) resolution and a frame rate of 120fps. That should offer an extremely sharp and smooth gaming experience while streaming PC games to your Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra, both of which have OLED screens with QHD+ resolution and a maximum of 120Hz refresh rate. The screens on these phones can reach a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits and have HDR10+ compatibility.

Of course, this new GeForce Now feature also works with all Galaxy smartphones and tablets that have 120Hz screens with QHD or higher resolution. For devices with Full HD+ resolution, the game streaming may be limited to Full HD resolution.

This new capability is only available on the ‘Ultimate' subscription tier on GeForce Now, and it costs $20 in the US. Its pricing is CAD 25.99 in Canada, £19.99 in the UK, and €21.99 in European countries. It brings streaming of up to 1,800 gaming titles at 1440p resolution and a 120fps frame rate to select Android smartphones and tablets that have screens with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. These games are processed and streamed from servers that feature RTX 4080 GPUs. You either have to buy games or link your EA Play, Epic Games, GOG, Steam, or Ubisoft accounts to your GeForce Now account.

Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming is another option if you want to stream PC or Xbox games to your Galaxy smartphone or tablet. It costs $16.99 in the US and brings access to hundreds of games that you can install and play on your PC or Xbox or stream games directly from the cloud to your compatible smartphone or tablet.
