Yesterday, Samsung rolled out the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy A71 5G UW and the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite on Verizon’s network in the US. Today, the tech giant is releasing the July 2023 security patch to Verizon-specific models of the Galaxy S21 FE 5G (SM-G990U), Galaxy A54 5G (SM-A546V), and Galaxy A53 5G UW (SM-A536V) in the country.

The new software update for the Galaxy A53 5G UW has firmware version A536VSQS8CWF6, whereas the one for the Galaxy A54 5G carries firmware version A546VSQS4AWF2. The Galaxy S21 FE 5G, on the other hand, gets firmware G990USQS8EWF1 with the latest update. The new software update for the three devices brings July 2023 security patch, which fixes more than 90 security issues.

These phones should automatically notify users about the latest update, but if you haven’t received one, you can check for the update by going to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. Please note that Samsung might be rolling out the update in phases. That means a few users might get the update before others.

    Galaxy A53, A54, and S21 FE will get Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update in Q4 2023

The Galaxy A53 5G UW and the Galaxy S21 FE 5G were released in 2022 with Android 12 (One UI 4.1) onboard, and Samsung has updated both devices to Android 13 (One UI 5.1).

The Galaxy A54 5G, on the other hand, was launched in 2023 with Android 13 (One UI 5.1). All three phones should get Android 14 (One UI 6.0) when it arrives later this year.
