Samsung has been nothing short of awesome over the past few months in terms of software updates. The company has already rolled out the Android 11 update to dozens of smartphones and tablets. Now, it is releasing the One UI 3.1 update to various Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy M21.
The One UI 3.1 (Core) update is now rolling out to the Galaxy M21 in India. The latest software update, which has firmware version M215FXXU2BUC8, has a download size of around 960MB and we recommend using a Wi-Fi network to download it. Apart from One UI 3.1, the new update also brings the March 2021 security patch to the Galaxy M21. The update should bring improved stock apps, slightly refreshed UI, and the ability to remove GPS location data from images. Samsung mentions that the update also improves the camera, overall performance, and stability of the Galaxy M21.
If you are a Galaxy M21 user in India, you might have received a notification for the update. If you haven't received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install on the smartphone. Alternatively, you can download the firmware from our firmware section and flash it manually. We expect the new software update to roll out to the Galaxy M21 in other markets over the next few days.
The Galaxy M21 was launched one year ago with Android 10 on board. A few months later, it received the One UI 2.1 update and then the One UI 2.5 update. Earlier this year, it received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 (Core) update.
