Several Galaxy devices will start receiving the update around the world starting May 11.

A long wait is finally coming to an end for owners of select Galaxy smartphones and tablets today, May 11. This is the day when the One UI 8.5 update will start rolling out widely around the world, following its debut in Korea on May 6.
Korea will be joined by Europe, Hong Kong, India, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan in the coming days, with other regions to follow later.
The Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 were the first to receive the stable One UI 8.5 update, and several other Galaxy devices will join the party in the coming days.

Some Galaxy A-series models could also get the stable One UI 8.5 update soon, at least according to Samsung Germany. However, it remains to be seen whether they will get the update alongside the flagship phones listed above or sometime later.
After the rollout goes live, eligible users will be able to install the update by heading to Settings > Software update on their device. Those already running the One UI 8.5 beta will see a relatively smaller download, while users upgrading from One UI 8 can expect an update package that is several gigabytes in size.
