Samsung finally made the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and the Galaxy A72 official last night. The company's new mid-range smartphones bring an all-around improvement over their predecessors, the Galaxy A51 and the Galaxy A71. They have better screens, improved audio quality, newer software, more versatile cameras, a stylish-yet-rugged design, and bigger batteries. If you missed yesterday's Galaxy Unpacked March 2021 launch event, you can view all the important aspects of the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 via Samsung's awesome infographics.

The Galaxy A52 features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display, while the Galaxy A72 has a slightly bigger 6.7-inch screen. Both phones have Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness, and an in-display fingerprint reader. They are equipped with the Snapdragon 720G processor, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. The phones run Android 11-based One UI 3.1 software and come with a promise of three major Android OS updates and an additional year of security patches.

The Galaxy A52 has a 64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP quad-camera setup, while the Galaxy A72 has a 64MP+12MP+8MP+5MP quad-camera setup. Both phones feature OIS for the 64MP camera, an ultrawide lens for the 12MP camera, and a macro lens for the 5MP camera. The Galaxy A72's 8MP camera is fitted with a 3x telephoto lens and OIS. Both smartphones can record 4K 30fps videos using both front and rear cameras and have the Pro video mode and the new Fun mode with Snapchat filters. Other common features of the two phones include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, IP67 rating, and Samsung Knox.

The Galaxy A52 5G, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 750G processor, features a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The Galaxy A52 is powered by a 4,500mAh battery, and a 5,000mAh battery powers the Galaxy A72. Both phones have GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, a headphone jack, and 25W fast charging technology.
