There’s a lot of stuff that happens in the tech industry, something that is especially true when it comes to giants like Samsung. If you missed out on some (or all) of what happened in the last 24 hours or so, well, here’s a recap of all the big things that went down.

We finally got some semblance of a launch date for Samsung's upcoming AMOLED tablets – June 11 or 12, depending on where you look, at a dedicated event in New York – and also got a glimpse of the 10.5-inch variant through new photos. We exclusively gave our readers a look at the original Galaxy Gear running Tizen instead of Android, a switch that has been a long time coming and will finally happen within a few weeks.

Japanese consumers got the option to buy a Galaxy S5 in pink, while Samsung Mobile CEO JK Shin confirmed that the company's latest flagship has been doing a stellar job in the market. Oh, and in the usual “a new day, a new Samsung device” scenario, we saw an unknown handset with model number SM-G850F show up on the company website, but were left without any clue to what this device might actually be (possibly the international Galaxy S5 Active.)

    Here's the full rundown:

As usual, a lot of devices got firmware updates as well, so here’s a list of all the updates that rolled to Samsung devices yesterday (as always, you can find all the firmware you need in our firmware section):
