Samsung launches 2020 Galaxy A series, including 5G models, in the US

Samsung today announced that it's bringing its 2020 Galaxy A series to the United States. Some of Samsung's best-selling smartphones belong to the Galaxy A series. It offers a great mix of mid-range and premium mid-range handsets at competitive prices. So with this launch, Samsung will significantly improve its competitiveness in the mid-range segment of the market in the US.

The company has released many of these 2020 Galaxy A handsets in other markets already. So it's about time that customers in the United States got the opportunity to purchase these handsets that provide great value for money. Samung has also confirmed the 5G models of the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71, which have been rumored for months now, in today's release.

Some 2020 Galaxy A models available tomorrow, 5G models this summer

Samsung is kicking off the US launch of its 2020 Galaxy A series with the Galaxy A01 and Galaxy A51 (LTE) which will be available starting tomorrow through Samsung.com as well as select carriers and retailers both online and in-store. Prices start at $109.99 and $399.99 respectively.

Later this summer, Samsung will launch the Galaxy A11 and Galaxy A21 in the United States with prices starting at $179.99 and $249.99 respectively. The Galaxy A51 5G and Galaxy A71 5G will be released in the summer as well for $499.99 and $599.99. We have previously reported that the 5G variants of the aforementioned handsets will also be available in markets outside the United States.

The Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 5G will allow Samsung to further increase its lead as the top supplier of 5G smartphones in the United States. It shipped 74 percent of all 5G smartphones in the United States last year. Given that these handsets cost significantly less than its flagship 5G-equipped devices, a lot more customers will now be able to jump on the bandwagon without burning a hole through their pockets.
