Both phones have roughly the same hardware, ranging from the Snapdragon 720G chipset and storage options, to the high refresh rate 90Hz displays. It's worth noting that the 5G variant of the Galaxy A52 boast a 120Hz panel and the Snapdragon 750G SoC, whereas the Galaxy A72 5G has yet to be announced.
The variants that got unveiled at Galaxy Awesome Unpacked were given stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, as well as a coveted IP67 dust and water resistance rating. They ship with Android 11 and an almost complete version of One UI 3, peppered with features such as Pro Video Mode, 4K Video Snapshot, Night Mode, and Fun Mode.

This pretty much wraps it up. The Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A72 are both shaping up to be fantastic phones, with the latter being a better fit for larger palms and technically superior. It happened last year when the Galaxy A51 proved to be a whole lot more successful than the Galaxy A71.
Which one of the two new Galaxy A smartphones would you choose, and why? Is it the Galaxy A52 4G / 5G or the Galaxy A72? Join us in the comment section below.
