    Galaxy S21 gets stable Android 13 update in India and other Asian markets

    Last week, Samsung surprised everyone by releasing the stable Android 13 update to the Galaxy A33 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, and the Galaxy S21 earlier than schedule in European countries. Now, the company has released the stable update to the Galaxy S21 series outside of Europe.

    The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra are now getting the stable Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update in India, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The new software comes with firmware version G99xBXXU5DVJC and includes the November 2022 security patch. Devices running One UI 4.1.1 are getting a major update with download size of around 2GB. Those who are beta-testing One UI 5.0 on their devices are getting the same update with a download size of around 275MB.

    If you are a Galaxy S21 user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the Android 13 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

    Galaxy S21 Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update: What's new?

    The Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update brings a revamped UI design, stacked widgets, slight changes to the notifications area and the quick setting toggles, and a simplified Settings menu. Samsung added a lot of new features to its stock apps, including Bixby, Camera, Device Care, Samsung Calendar, Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Messages, and Samsung My Files.

    Samsung has also improved the performance and smoothness of the UI. The company has improved accessibility features, renamed Bixby Routines to Modes & Routines, and merged the Privacy and Security sections in the Settings app. There is also a Connected Devices menu where you can find all the connected devices, wired or wireless.
