Samsung released the first One UI 5.0 beta update to the Galaxy S22 series three weeks ago. The update was released in Germany, South Korea, and the US. Since then, the company hasn't released the second beta update, and it was revealed yesterday that the update might take some more time to land in other countries.
The second One UI 5.0 beta update was expected to be released this week. But now, it is being reported (by Ice Universe) that Samsung has delayed the release to next week. This delay is reportedly due to a major bug in the system animation, and the company could release the update once that has been fixed.
It was revealed that Samsung is working on refreshed app icons for its stock apps, which might be included in the second One UI 5.0 beta update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The South Korean firm released Samsung Internet 19 Beta yesterday, and it appears that Samsung has implemented Material You (Monet) icon for that app.
With upcoming versions of Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta, Samsung could fix more bugs, improve the performance, and add a few more software features. The stable version of One UI 5.0 could be released to the Galaxy S22 series sometime in October 2022. Other high-end Galaxy devices could get the update in mid or late Q4 2022.
