Last week, Samsung released the May 2022 security update to Galaxy S22 series users in Europe and the US. Now, the update is being released to Galaxy S22 owners in Canada. The update was first released three weeks ago to users in India and other Asian markets.
The latest security update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra bears firmware version S90xWVLU2AVDC. It brings the May 2022 security update that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. The new update might also bring better stability and general bug fixes.
If you are a Galaxy S22 user in Canada, you can now download the latest software update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. Alternatively, if you don't want to wait for the OTA update, you can download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy S22 series was launched in February 2022 with Android 12-based One UI 4.1. The phones have received monthly software updates, frequent bug fixes, and performance improvements. With the March 2022 update, Samsung offered the option to turn off the GOS for higher performance.
