In 2021, Samsung used MediaTek and Qualcomm processors in many Galaxy smartphones and tablets. However, the company is looking to change that next year. It is rumored that 55-60% of Samsung phones could use its in-house Exynos processors next year. Now, a new Galaxy phone has appeared, featuring the South Korean firm's upcoming chipset.

A Samsung smartphone with model number SM-A336BU was found in Geekbench's database. Going by the model number, the smartphone will be launched as the Galaxy A33 5G. The device is using the Exynos 1200 processor (with codename S5E8825) and 6GB RAM. It is running Android 12, which means it could launch with One UI 4.0 or One UI 4.1 out of the box.

The Exynos 1200 features two high-performance CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six power-efficient CPU cores clocked at 2GHz. Earlier leaks have revealed that the yet-unannounced chipset uses the ARM Mali-G68 GPU. The phone scored 726 points in the single-core CPU test and 1,830 points in the multi-core CPU test. The processor will also be used in the Galaxy A53.

The Galaxy A33 5G is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. We had exclusively reported last month that the upcoming smartphone will feature an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. It will lack a 3.5mm headphone jack, though. It will be launched in Black, Light Blue, Orange, and White variants. It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery.
