Samsung is making preparations for the inevitable launch of the Galaxy S22 series, and support pages for the trio of flagships have begun to appear online. They confirm the same model numbers SamMobile exclusively revealed last summer.
SM-S901U, SM-S906U, and SM-S908U are the new model numbers Samsung had assigned to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The company had to change the model number formula because it ran out of digits after a decade of releasing Galaxy S phones.
Support pages have been found online at Samsung's official Chinese portal. As usual, they're not very revealing about the phones themselves, aside from confirming 5G connectivity and compatibility with Samsung Dex, which is no surprise.

SamMobile also uncovered that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S22 series in early February 2022, approximately 13 months after the Galaxy S21's debut earlier this year.
The series consists of two models sharing the same overall design and an “Ultra” variant featuring a prominent camera housing with more sensors, a display digitizer for stylus inputs, and a dedicated holster for the S Pen accessory.
The Galaxy S22 series will be powered by the new Exynos 2200 SoC developed by Samsung, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm, depending on the region.
