Our favorite Samsung phone this year is the Galaxy Note 10+

2019 was an extremely busy year for Samsung. The Korean giant launched an insane number of devices: Three different Galaxy S10 models, two Galaxy Note 10 models, a foldable phone, a flagship tablet, countless mid-range Galaxy A devices, multiple Galaxy M series phones, two smartwatches, and a pair of wireless buds.

In our opinion, the Galaxy Fold was the best device to come out of Samsung’s stable because of what it represents, but which of those numerous devices was our overall favorite? Well, as the title of this article has already revealed, it’s the Galaxy Note 10+, which offers a compelling experience unmatched by anything else that Samsung launched this year.

The Galaxy Fold or the Galaxy S10+ may be excellent devices in their own right, but the Galaxy Note 10+ trumps both by being a complete package that brought some much-needed features to Samsung’s flagship line, like support for up to 45W charging. Of course, it’s also unique because of the S Pen, and it came with some very useful new software functionality as well, such as a built-in screen recorder, fun new camera modes like AR Doodle, and improved productivity with its support for running Samsung DeX on a Windows or Mac PC.

We also liked it for the fact that it has a centered punch hole for the front camera. Samsung opted to place the punch hole in the right corner on the Galaxy S10 series but quite frankly, the center alignment is much better. This implementation of the Infinity-O display is now making its way to more Samsung devices, like the recently unveiled Galaxy A51. It’s also going to be present on the upcoming Galaxy S11.

The Note 10+ isn’t perfect. No headphone jack is perhaps its biggest flaw, and it may also be too large for some despite how compact Samsung was able to make it for a device with a 6.8-inch display. But still, it does everything else so well that it’s easy to overlook those shortcomings. The Galaxy Note 10+ is an easy recommendation to anyone looking for a premium flagship smartphone, and while we had the privilege of using everything from the mid-range Galaxy A50 to the $2000 Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Note 10+ stands as our favorite among them all.

What about you? Which was your favorite among all the devices Samsung launched this year?

  • Model: SM-N975F
  • Dimensions: 162.3 x 77,2 x 7.9mm
  • Display: 6.8"(172.7mm) Super AMOLED
  • CPU: Exynos 9825
  • Camera: 12 Ultra Wide: 16MP F2.2 (123°) & Wide-angle: 12MP 2PD AF F1.5/F2.4 OIS (77°) & Telephoto: 12MP F2.1 OIS (45°) & DepthVision Camera: VGA

I just love the Note10+ from the first time I got it after upgrading from the Note8. Missing the iris scanner some time. The Note10+ is simply a beast in my opinion.

Cannot understand this rating. Note 10+ is highly overrated in my opinion, actually I regret spending on upgrade from Note 8. – cameras are far worse than my Note 8. Even my old Note 4 makes better pictures. Having lost contol over picture resolution is a nuisance. – No really useful new features. Screen recorder was already available through GoodLock app. The new gestures are not useful at all. S-pen gestures are too shameful to use in public, using finger on screen is even quicker and who uses Note frequent for presentations? – punch hole camera is in wrong space,… Read more »

As soon as I read this:

“…. Note 4 makes better picture”

Well, pretty sure you don’t know how to use a smartphone especially the Note10+.

You just bragged you have a Note10+ and started criticising every part of it that you can think of.

Sell your Note10+ then as it deserves a better owner who can make use of its full potential.

I’m planning to upgrade my Note8 to Note10+
But now maybe gonna wait till Note11 or 12. I still had the Note4 though just for the IR blaster.
And now they removed the headphone jack and heart rate sensor.
Gonna miss Iris Scanner, but I think I’m okay without it

The entire S10 line – but specially the S10e – are by far the best. And definitely better than the worst Notes ever released. “Complete package”? LOL yeah. So complete I can’t even connect a pair of good headphones to it, I have to use sh*tty Bluetooth audio if I want to. And the centred hole is as ugly as it’s obtrusive. It’s an ugly eyesore that requires the immediate turning on of the virtual bezel. Whomever decided to move it is an idiot as they made the hole as bad as a notch and equally useless. The S10 line… Read more »

I am experiencing charging issues with my 45 watt charger bought from mobilefun.co.uk. In the start it use to work without any issues, but now whenever i try to use the 45watt charger it does not work. I dont know what is wrong with the charger. Its an official charger. European type two pin plug.
Has any one else face this issue ???
