Samsung has finally made the Galaxy A54 5G official. It is the company’s most premium mid-range smartphone for 2023 and succeeds the Galaxy A53 5G. However, the new phone is not a huge upgrade for those who are already using the Galaxy A53 5G. Instead, it makes sense for those who are using the Galaxy A51 or the Galaxy A52.

From its brighter display to a faster processor and longer battery life, the Galaxy A54 5G can be a good upgrade to those Galaxy A52 or Galaxy A52 5G users who want a more powerful phone. Let us compare their features and specifications to know more.

Galaxy A54 5G vs Galaxy A52 vs Galaxy A52 5G: A speed upgrade

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G Awesome White

Samsung made the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A54 5G with a plastic frame. However, the Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52 5G have a plastic back, and their screens are protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The Galaxy A54 5G uses Gorilla Glass on the front as well as the rear, making it more premium than the other two phones. All three phones have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The Galaxy A54 5G has a brighter (1,000 nits) and smoother (120Hz) display.

Samsung Exynos 1380 Processor

But the real upgrade is the Galaxy A54 5G’s faster Exynos 1380 processor, which is much faster than the Snapdragon 720G in the Galaxy A52 and the Snapdragon 750G inside the Galaxy A52 5G. It has four high-performance CPU cores and a powerful GPU (as powerful as the Snapdragon 778G), which makes the Galaxy A54 5G speedy enough to be able to offer smooth gaming performance. The Galaxy A54 5G has a 5,000mAh battery, which is bigger than the 4,500mAh batteries powering the other two devices.

Galaxy A52 Snapchat Fun Mode

The Galaxy A52 and the Galaxy A52 5G have 64MP OIS primary rear cameras, while the Galaxy A54 5G uses a 50MP primary rear camera with a bigger sensor, dual-pixel autofocus, and improved OIS (4x more responsive and 50% more stable). So it can capture better images and videos in low-light conditions. It can also record smoother and more stable 4K videos.

They all have a 32MP selfie camera with 4K video recording, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. And the Galaxy A54 5G comes with Android 13 out of the box, and it will get four major OS upgrades and security updates for five years.

I can’t recommend mid-range Galaxy smartphones right now, here’s why

I can’t recommend mid-range Galaxy smartphones right now, here’s why

Compared to the first half a decade or so after Samsung first started making Android phones, the company’s mid-range phones have come a long way in terms of the features they offer and how they perform in day-to-day use. Well, when it comes to the latter, even flagship Galaxy phones were rather embarrassing for the […]
