As a part of Samsung's long-term collaboration with Amazon, the companies are allowing fans to enjoy sneak peek content in 8K resolution, exclusively at select Samsung stores. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on September 2, 2022, on Prime Video. The South Korean firm will run 25 minutes of content from the series' first two episodes on its three-story LED video wall at its flagship experience center: Samsung 837 in New York, USA.
Starting this week, the company will also showcase dynamic creatives from the upcoming series on its LED digital screens in New York City's Times Square, London's Piccadilly Circus, and Milan's Piazza del Duomo. Opportunities for others to stream this 8K content on their 8K Neo QLED TVs and The Wall TV will be announced soon.
Viewers can enjoy immersive 8K content with HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos on Neo QLED 8K TVs and The Wall, complete with Object Sound Tracking+. If you didn't know already, the HDR10+ technology was co-developed by Amazon Prime Video and Samsung. It is an open-source alternative to Dolby Vision and offers similar features and performance.
