Staying true to its promise, Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy Watch 3. The new software brings new watch faces that the company debuted with the Galaxy Watch 5 series. The update also brings more reliable health tracking and snoring detection.

The new software update with firmware version R8x0XXU1DVH4 is rolling out to the Galaxy Watch 3. Such updates are usually released worldwide without much delay, so you can now check whether your Galaxy Watch 3 has started getting it. According to the official changelog, the smartwatch gets two new watch faces: Gradient Number and Pro Analog. These watch faces will also be released to the Galaxy Watch Active 2.

The Daily Activity Indicator now helps better synchronization of data between your Galaxy smartphone and the Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung has also added the Snore Detection feature to the Galaxy Watch 3. However, it requires your phone's microphone to work properly, so you must keep your phone nearby when you sleep. In comparison, the feature works on the Galaxy Watch 5 without needing the phone's microphone.

Samsung ditched Tizen in favor of Wear OS 3 for the Galaxy Watch 4 (and newer). But it promised to release new features and software updates to its older smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch Active 2 and the Galaxy Watch 3.
