Samsung brought an ‘Ultra' branded tablet—Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra—to its lineup for the first time last year. It featured a massive screen, an extremely thin profile, and dual front-facing cameras. Now, it has been revealed that the tablet's successor will also feature a similarly thin design and a big display, but it will be even more powerful.

Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), who has an extremely reliable track record, has revealed the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra's specifications. According to the leakster, Samsung's next flagship tablet features a body that measures 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm, similar to the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. It will also sport a similarly big display at 14.6 inches, featuring a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848 pixels and a 120% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. It will also feature an S Pen with Bluetooth 5.1. The tablet will weigh slightly more (737g) than the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

    Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra specifications

The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will reportedly come equipped with the extremely powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor and 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. This chipset is also used in the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Apart from being powerful, it is also quite power-efficient, which means we can expect longer battery life. Speaking of the battery, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is claimed to be powered by an 11,200mAh battery that's compatible with 45W fast charging.

Moreover, as we exclusively revealed earlier, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will also feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It will be Samsung's first high-end tablet in recent times to feature an IP68 rating. It is expected that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Tab S9 series sometime in the second half of 2023, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
