Samsung is bringing several improvements to its next-generation high-end smartphones. There will be four models in the Galaxy S27 series. The Galaxy S27 Pro and the Galaxy S27 Ultra will be the most interesting phones among those models, and their battery capacities have leaked for the first time.
According to GalaxyClub, a 5,087mAh (rated) battery will power the Galaxy S27 Pro, and Samsung will probably advertise it as a 5,200mAh (typical) battery.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra, on the other hand, will be powered by a 5,534mAh (rated) battery, and Samsung could advertise it as a 5,700mAh (typical) battery. This is around 15% higher capacity than the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 5,000mAh battery.
This increase in capacity is most likely due to Silicon-Carbon anode structure, which is also used in the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The Galaxy S Ultra lineup has featured a 5,000 mAh battery on every model since the first one launched in 2020, so this will be the first ever battery capacity upgrade for Samsung's top-of-the-line flagship.
With newer and more power-efficient 2nm chips, improved cameras, bigger batteries, and newer software, phones in the Galaxy S27 series are turning out to be exciting upgrades.
