Last week, the Galaxy S22 series started getting the September 2022 security update in Europe. However, the update was paused for the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra continued getting it. Now, Samsung has rolled out the update more widely across the world.

The latest software update for the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with firmware version S90xEXXS2AVHD. The update is available in Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UAE.

In the US, the Galaxy S22 series is getting the September 2022 security update with firmware version S90xU1UES2AVHL. It is available on various carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Comcast, and Xfinity Mobile. The carrier-locked versions of the smartphones haven't started getting the new security update yet.

If you have a Galaxy S22 series device and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download and install the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

The September 2022 security update, which Samsung first released to the Galaxy S21, brings fixes for more than 24 security vulnerabilities. It might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.
