Even more Samsung fans get One UI 5.1 through Tab S7 FE update

Firmware

Based on a tentative roadmap Samsung shared earlier this year, the One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is running a bit late. Or “was running late” would be more accurate, as the latest firmware is now finally available for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE in Europe and possibly other markets.

We can confirm that Samsung is distributing One UI 5.1 for the international 5G variant (SM-T736B). But it is possible that the Wi-Fi-only Fan Edition tablet also received the firmware. In any case, for the 5G model, the latest release comes in as firmware version T736BXXU2CWC5.

Samsung's Fan Edition tablet is getting the treatment it deserves

Among the many One UI 5.1 improvements introduced to the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, you will find:

  • Camera and Gallery search — including an Effects button, more powerful search, enhanced image remastering, a shared family album, and a revamped info section for photos and videos
  • Improved multitasking through easier split-screen mode and pop-up view, as well as better split-screen in Samsung DeX
  • More features for Modes and Routines, including wallpapers based on the current mode and more actions for Routines
  • A better Weather app
  • An improved Samsung Internet experience
  • A new battery widget

For additional information, you can check out the screenshots below for the full official changelog.

One UI 5.1 for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE comes with the February 2023 security patch and weighs around 1.2GB, although the size can differ by market. Along with One UI 5.1, you may also receive app updates to Samsung Global Goals, Samsung Kids, PENUP, Samsung Internet, SmartThings, Galaxy Shop, Samsung Flow, Members, Calculator, and Voice Recorder.

To download the new update where it is available, open the Settings app on your Galaxy Tab S7 FE, access “Software update,” and tap “Download and install.” If you prefer manual updates, you can download the official firmware files from our website when available.
