Samsung could launch four Galaxy S27 series phones this year: the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to be similar to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, except for its screen size and the absence of an S Pen. It could also feature a larger battery than initially expected.
According to a tipster, the Galaxy S27 Pro has a nearly 6.5-inch display and will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. If this information is accurate, it would match the battery capacity of previous Galaxy S Ultra phones, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The phone is also rumored to lack the S Pen, a feature that has traditionally been exclusive to Galaxy S Ultra devices.
Since the phone does not feature a built-in S Pen, Samsung may have used the space normally occupied by the stylus to accommodate a larger battery inside the Galaxy S27 Pro.
Based on previous reports, the Galaxy S27 Pro is shaping up to be the high-end phone many users have been asking for: a device with Galaxy S Ultra-level specifications, but with a smaller screen and no S Pen.
The device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip, 12GB or more of RAM, 256GB or more of storage, a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, a 12MP selfie camera, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, NFC, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and 60W fast charging.
