Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Unfortunately, it doesn’t bring One UI 8.5, which many of you have been waiting for. Instead, it offers the May 2026 security patch, which fixes 36 security issues, making them more secure.
As you might have expected, Samsung is rolling it out first in its home market, South Korea. The firmware version of the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is F936NKSS8IZE2, and that for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is F721NKSS8IZE2. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
The brand may start offering it in other countries in the next couple of days and complete the rollout in the next couple of weeks. As for One UI 8.5, considering that Samsung has already offered it to the Galaxy Z Fold 7/Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6, and Galaxy Z Fold 5/Flip 5, the Galaxy Z Fold 4/Flip 4 are next in line to get it.
While there’s no official information about when the company may release it, we expect it to arrive next week or by the end of June.
