Samsung has revealed details about the May 2026 security patch for Galaxy phones and tablets. This patch will be included in future software updates that will soon roll out to eligible Galaxy devices.
It addresses a total of 36 security issues found in Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy mobile devices.
Details of the May 2026 security patch have been published on Samsung’s website. The update includes 30 fixes (CVEs) provided by Google, although one of them does not apply to Galaxy devices. It also brings seven Samsung-specific fixes (SVEs).
Out of the 36 issues addressed with the new update, two are classified as Critical, 28 as High, and six as Moderate. You can read about them in detail by clicking here.
Samsung is expected to begin rolling out the May 2026 security patch to Galaxy devices in the coming days. You can check for the update on your device by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Check for updates or Download and install.
