Dozens of Galaxy devices will enjoy One UI 8.5 in 2026.

Last year, Samsung released two well-received major firmware updates. Now, following the full rollout of One UI 8.0, its next big update is here: One UI 8.5.
One UI 8.5 debuted with the Galaxy S26 lineup and is now expanding to Galaxy phones and tablets from previous years. Will your Galaxy device make the cut and get One UI 8.5? See if you find it in the list below.
Usually, as long as the underlying Android version is the same, a Galaxy device that got the major One UI release also gets the mid-cycle one. One UI 8.5 breaks that pattern. It's based on Android 16 QPR2, while One UI 8.0 is based on Android 16, so being eligible for Android 16 may no longer guarantee One UI 8.5.
Because of that, we've split the list into three groups based on how confident we are today. This will change as the rollout continues, and we'll update it as Samsung confirms more devices.
The official One UI 8.5 rollout began on May 6. Samsung is pushing the update out in waves, and flagships and select mid-range devices were first in line. Older devices will follow over the coming weeks, so it may still be a while before the update reaches your phone or tablet.
