    Galaxy Z Flip, Z Flip 5G start getting One UI 4.1 update in the US

    Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 4.1 update to the carrier-unlocked models of the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in the US. The new update also contains the March 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.

    The latest software update for the carrier-unlocked model of the Galaxy Z Flip comes with firmware version F700U1UEU4GVC4 in the US. For the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, the update bears firmware version F707U1UEU2FVC4. Both phones have received various new features, including the ability to capture portrait images in low-light conditions and the option that allows you to turn off GOS (Game Optimization Service).

    If you are a Galaxy Z Flip or Galaxy Z Flip 5G user in the US, and if you have a carrier-unlocked device, you can now check for the One UI 4.1 update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

    The One UI 4.1 update brings improved portrait images in low-light conditions, the ability to remove reflections and shadows from a picture, and allows you to add portrait effects to any photo with a person in it. You can even readjust portrait lighting and remaster blurred or old images. Smart Widgets are missing from the update, though.

    The built-in Gallery app allows you to free up storage space by converting motion photos into still images. It also allows you to share pictures and videos using a single link. It can even turn some still images of sceneries into gorgeous 24-hour time-lapse videos. With AR Zone, you can add GIFs from Tenor to your AR Emoji and change background colors in mask mode.

    The One UI 4.1 update brings Google Duo Live Sharing to the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Smart Switch gets more customizable options, and Quick Share brings the ability to share Wi-Fi network credentials and the edit history of shared images and videos. With SmartThings Find, the new software lets you share items with others so that you can find them together when it gets lost.

    Samsung has also improved the Color Palette feature, making chosen colors appear in more Google and third-party apps. The South Korean firm has also added suggested actions across the software. You can add emojis to calendar entries and take quick notes on Samsung Notes while browsing on Samsung Internet or Samsung Gallery.

    The update also brings more layouts and languages to Samsung Keyboard and language suggestions from Grammarly. It also brings Bixby Routine features like changing the watch face of the Galaxy Watch 4 and changing the watch's settings. It also lets you choose custom virtual RAM capacity. You can also turn off GOS for better burst performance in games.
